Learning for Living

Learning for Living is our intensive, early intervention service for older children with an autism spectrum disorder between 8 and 18 years of age. The aim of this program is to teach functional communication, daily living and basic social skills to maximise your child’s independence. This program is suitable for children who require further services beyond their early intervention programs or have not accessed early intervention.

The program typically involves:

• an initial assessment
• design of a individualised curriculum for your child
• 20-30 hours of therapist-supported intervention per week
• fortnightly or monthly team meetings to review and update your child’s program
