SPOT Services

SPOT (Specialised, Prioritised and Occasional Treatment) Services is a program which is best suited to those children who require intervention for singular, specific issues rather than addressing a wide range of difficulties. In such cases, an emphasis is placed on supporting parents/carers/teachers to effectively implement recommended teaching and/or behaviour management strategies themselves.

The program typically involves:

• an initial assessment
• design of a treatment plan relating to identified goals
• initial practical and or theoretical training for parents/carers/teachers to implement the treatment plan
• fortnightly or monthly team meetings to review and update your child’s treatment plan
